How Office Furniture Affects Your Business

Posted by Attheofficeaz in Business

Your office furniture can affect your business in ways that can never be imagined! This article will provide you information about different types of office furniture and how each has an impact on employees and clients. Specifics may vary from office to office; however, the following information includes helpful and important guidelines from which everyone can benefit.

When people walk into your office, what is their first impression? Studies have shown that your office can actually send messages to others about the way you conduct business. What does your office furniture say about you?

This article is a continuation of our previous article, “The Importance of Office Furniture.” Like the first article, we have provided a few examples of office furniture and how each can affect your business:

Custom Office Furniture
Custom office furniture, including movable walls, can make your company culture say whatever you want it to say. Bright colors suggest a vibrant, creative work environment. Glass walls, windows and doors bring about feelings of inclusion and teamwork. Tall, solid panels imply privacy and focus. What does your custom office furniture say about your company?

Filing & Storage Units
Filing cabinets and office file storage help to keep things in order. Whether you’re filing confidential employee records, tax information, monthly invoices or prospective client files, you need to have a place to keep them safe and organized so that when you need them, you can find them quickly and easily.

Office Lighting
Quality office lighting is a necessity. Studies have shown that light can impact people in many ways: physically, physiologically and psychologically. Poor lighting can negatively affect overall performance - especially in the workplace. Office lighting can create the ideal working conditions for yourself and your employees by reducing vision related errors, increasing performance or simply designing a “wow” factor for your clients and visitors. By creating a high-definition lighting workplace, you can transform your home or company office to an incredibly designed workspace with personality. Office lighting should accomplish more than just the task of providing light. It should be controllable at all times, energy efficient, maintainable, well-integrated, cost efficient and accommodating to any project.

Office Flooring
Even the highest quality office flooring products need to be correctly prepared, fitted and installed. Flooring designers recommend only those materials they know can meet, or exceed, the demands of their planned use. There are many different office flooring solutions for any commercial setting including corporate offices, retail locations, healthcare, hospitality, education and more. Office flooring has to be sustainable because it needs to last your company for years to come.

Office Accessories
Decorating your office with warm, personable accessories will create an inviting setting for employees, guests and potential clients. You’ll be surprised at the impression your office can make with the addition of simple, classic decor.

Office furniture is quite possibly the most crucial aspect of your business. The first step in getting the best office furniture is working with the right designer. A good designer will assess your entire office and make recommendations about what types of furniture fit your space, your budget and your office culture.

I Need To Learn Online Forex Trading And Make Enough Money To Provide Financial Independence

Posted by Billaaa777 in Business

The need to learn online Forex trading is expanding world wide as the reputation of the Foreign Exchange Markets grow in credibility as an exceptional place to become wealthy in a relatively short period. The currency markets are not nearly as sophisticated as some of the professional Forex traders like to put on in order to boost there own self worth and attempt to keep the private investors from scooping away some of the substantial profits they make, which were once reserved for them exclusively. An individual currency trading on any particular day has only one of two directions it can go, which are; it can increase in value or drop in value. There is no other possible alternatives.

Since a currency has a fifty percent chance of increasing in value and a fifty percent chance of decreasing in value a private financier that knew nothing about the currency markets also has a fifty percent chance of selecting the proper trade of a currency. Now, if that private trader has taken time to learn currency trading one would only have to surmise that there odds of picking the direction a currency is moving would increase. On top of that if they have the tools a professional trader utilizes helping them determine the direction a currency is going to go there percentage chance of selecting the proper direction should also increase.

Let’s examine these percentages in more detail. To start with if you just flip a coin to initiate a trade you have a fifty percent chance of being correct. Next, you take a comprehensive Forex trading course; at the very least your percentage of properly selecting a trading direction is going to increase at a minimum of five percent. Actually, statistics of students that took the classes seriously and studied hard show us that it is around ten percent, but I will use the minimum as an example. Next, if you acquire a Forex trend based software system and a Forex signal based software system similar to the type the professional traders use and you take the time to learn how to use them properly your percentage will increase at a minimum success rate of five percent.

If you simply invested around three hundred dollars in training and software your are now at a sixty percent chance of selecting the direction a currency is moving. I am sure you are asking, if you can make money being correct sixty percent of the time? Not only can you make money, if you patient and disciplined the funds can be substantial. Why some people fail even with these incredible odds, are exactly what I stated above, inpatients and lack of discipline. They simply expose themselves to large amounts of risk using the margins provide by the Forex brokerage firms. If you find this happening to you, then learn online Forex trading next from a professional mentoring program which specializes in training the proper way of how to make use of the margins and make the margins work for you as opposed to against you. By following this simple Forex program I am sure you now realize that statically, you really can’t lose and are on your way to becoming a successful Forex investor.

The Forex Program Which Helps You Learn Currency Trading The Quickest And Makes The Best Profits

Posted by Billaaa777 in Business

There are many different types of Forex programs that are sold today to private investors entering the currency markets looking to make money. I personally prefer the simplest method possible that consistently makes money.

Are you aware of the fact that most millionaires have found only one or a few ways of making small profits and simply repeat them constantly until those small profits when multiplied become huge profits? Taking the time to learn Forex trading and a specific method of trading is exactly the way most professional currency traders became as rich as they are.

Most of the really simple methods of trading currencies are developed and marketed by self taught gurus who have found one way of trading that makes money over and over. These are extremely easy to learn and replicate. You simply do exactly like they teach you in the course and there really is no decision making required on your part.

Some of these teach you to trade a specific currency at a specific time of day if an indicator is focused in the correct direction. The professor for this Forex program states, “If he did not make enough money in the morning trade, he simple repeats the process in the afternoon.” This courses students swear by his very easy to learn and to duplicate routine to a point where they are almost a cult following.

I personally have tried this approach and found it so unbelievably easy that it is amazing. Of course, as a professional FX trader I have much more sophisticated methods of generating larger profits.

The trouble with my methods is the learning curve it would take a new currency investor to be up and running with them. Where as with his approach, you learn a little about the Forex markets and his way of trading and with in a few days you are actually make real good money.

I am just so tired of receiving emails from my newsletter subscribers telling me that they can’t make any money in the currency markets. I send and email back and ask them if they have signed up for any of the courses I suggested and nine out of ten times the answer is no. They will email back, I bought one of the Forex software trading systems you told me about though.

I just want to hit them on the head with a hammer and tell them not to email me anymore, but they still do. How can you possibly make money doing something, if you don’t know what you’re doing? You can’t is the answer. If you are not making money in the currency markets it is nobody else’s fault but your own. I just told you about a very simple Forex program I could teach a ten year old kid to do that will if nothing else makes you a profitable trader.

And if you stick to the method, don’t try to expand on it and stay consistent with it. You will be just like the millionaires I told you about, who found one approach to doing something that makes a little money and you simply repeat it over and over.

PMP Practice For Project Management Professional Certification

Posted by Thenewguy639 in Project Management

If you are considering taking the PMP exam for project management professional certification, consider using a pmp simulation program. By preparing in the exact environment that you will be exposed to on test day you are maximizing your study efforts. Candidates become accustomed to the official PMP exam through taking as many tests as possible, with timers, review options and everything included. Many people simply use the official PMBOK guide to study for the PMP exam. This is a good guide to PMI fundamentals and considered the standard for project managers. The problem is, many people have trouble understanding the material in the PMBOK because of its complex and scientific approach to project management concepts. Also many project managers do not use the PMI approaches in their own workplace. This can be very difficult and almost seem like culture shock because definitions, terms , formulas and approaches are taught from the PMI point of view.

The pmp exam will have some questions concerning what to document and when It should be documented. Project assumptions are issues that should be documented by the project manager. Assumptions can include estimating, schedule issues and project plan issues. Assumptions often include various levels of risk and can effect the entire project. Each person has an individual effect on the project and each person has their own role and responsibility in contributing to the project. The project manager is the leader and aids in the organization of the project and members. The manager uses expert judgment to guide the project from beginning to end including planning, execution and closure. The project manager must have the foresight to see and take risk of the project into account as early as in the planning stages. The project managers approach to the project plan can be based on a checklist and tackle simple or complex requirements.

The final customer or stakeholders give their requirements and objectives to the project and should work directly with the project manager to ensure their requirements are clearly established and met. Stakeholders have a direct and concrete involvement in the project creation and execution. The end product or project results should be in line with stakeholder requirements and rules. Project managers should carefully interview stakeholders and analyze answers to project questions to get a clear picture of what stakeholders truly need.

Experience at a number of companies reveals some best practices or standards against which we should benchmark our own approach to project deployment. Our deployment may differ from standard practice. In some cases we may find that we should adjust our approaches to align our deployment plan with standard practice. In other cases, we may need to deploy project management differently in a given area to reflect important differences in the organization, its industry, and its state of capability. In other words, while there is no one method for deploying project management, there are some good practices we should understand and use wherever it make sense (keeping in mind that often we “won’t know what we don’t know” about deployment and, therefore, need to understand well the lessons learned at other companies). The material outlined in this section is meant to spark thinking each Group needs to produce a detailed deployment manual of its own.

Time Management Strategies To Improve Your Career Prospects

Posted by Sharonwrite in Work Life Balance

Using an activity based formula to measure how much time you spend on certain tasks each week can help you manage this time more effectively.

If you’re spending too much time in one area, but not enough in others, you may have to take work home with you in the evenings or you may have to work on the weekend just to catch up. If this occurs often, taking a look at how you spend your time at work and tracking it for a month or longer can help you determine the best ways to make changes.

Your formula can be as simple as adding up all the time you spend during the day on individual tasks.

Monitor Your Time

Creating a list of daily tasks and measuring how long it takes to complete these tasks is one way to determine ways to save time. Once you’ve determined how long it takes to complete your list, you can begin looking for ways to shorten these amounts or ways to combine tasks so they take less time overall.

Combining tasks is an easy way to manage your time. Different from multi-tasking, which involves completing two or more tasks at the same time that may or may not be similar, combining similar tasks such as returning phone calls and making reservations for meeting rooms can be completed within the same chunk of time. Reviewing a presentation and choosing graphics for the presentation are similar tasks you can accomplish at the same time as well.

Determine Tasks that Take Longer to Complete than Others

After you determine which tasks take the longest to complete, schedule enough time during the day to complete them so you don’t have to add them to your list for the next day. Depending on your schedule, you may have less to do on some days than on other days. On light days, schedule tasks that take longer to complete.

Schedule Regular Break Times

Scheduling regular break times throughout the day can help you develop a routine and prevent you from taking additional breaks that take away from your productivity. If you plan on sitting in front of your computer for most of the day, taking a short five minute break every two hours allows your body to relax and your mind to reenergize.

Delegate Your Responsibilities

If you find that too much of your time is spent making copies, updating your calendar or organizing files, try to delegate this work to another person. If you have an assistant, use them as much as possible. If your department shares an assistant, ask them when they have the time to make copies of reports and other documents. This will help you manage your time and give other people work that will keep them busy during the day as well.

Review Your Formula

If you receive a promotion or are given extra tasks, you may need to revisit your formula to include these new items. You may need to find other ways to manage your time in order to complete all tasks during they day. Monitoring your time at least two times during the year is a great way to see how you use your time and where improvements can be made.

Secrets Of Persuasive Presentations

Posted by Sharonwrite in Presentation

Have you ever wondered why presentations given by yourco-workers were better than yours? Did they use more sophisticated visual aids? Have more interesting topics? Or was it the way they presented the information?

The secrets to giving a persuasive presentation aren’t known only to a select group of people. You can easily improve your presentation style by making a few minor changes.

Choose Your Topic Carefully

If you’re able to choose the topic of your next presentation, consider a topic that’s important not only to you, but also to those who will be in attendance. Understanding who your audience is and choosing a subject they care about is the first step to creating a memorable and persuasive presentation.
When presenting to a group of co-workers or a client, find out if other people will be giving presentations and what their topics will be. This can help you avoid creating a presentation that is closely related to topics already being discussed. Give your presentation a catchy title to entice your audience in advance.

Create a Solid Message

Once you’ve chosen a topic, research it to find out everything you need to know for the presentation. Determine your overall message and make sure that each subtopic, slide, and bullet point supports this message. A persuasive presentation usually focuses on one topic so the audience is able to fully understand and grasp its meaning.

After putting your presentation together, allow others to review it. Make sure they understand the message you’re trying to send. Ask for helpful feedback so you can make the appropriate changes before the day of the presentation.

You may need to review the presentation several times until it’s persuasive and coherent enough to be appreciated by those attending the meeting.

Create Simple Visuals

A persuasive presentation does not rely on fancy visual aids. If you want to be persuasive, keep your slides as simple as possible in order to keep the audience’s attention on you. Only you can create a sense of urgency about the topic you’re speaking about through your body language, how you present the information and the answers you give to questions the audience may have. While colorful charts and graphs may be fun to design, they can be very distracting to those who should be listening to what you have to say instead of admiring your power point skills.

Involve Your Audience

Involve your audience by asking questions, telling a few jokes and being relaxed while you speak.By involving the audience, you’re subconsciously inviting them to embrace what you have to say. Even though your presentation needs to have a clear message, you want to deliver this message in a non-threatening way by telling a story or relating it to an issue your co-workers or your clients are currently facing.

Keep the audience interested in your topic by making sure they are as involved as possible in the presentation. Make sure you leave enough time to answer a few questions as this will encourage dialogue between you and the audience as well as between audience members.

Giving a persuasive presentation will take practice. Over time, your skills will improve. Watching co-workers give presentations is a good way to learn more about what to do and what not to do. If possible, record your presentation so you can watch it and critique your performance.
